Review by hotel critic
During our recent stay at the Lion & Pheasant Hotel, I was enchanted by the blend of history and modernity showcased throughout the property. The warmth and attentiveness of the staff made us feel truly welcome as we added a dash of adventure to our eco-themed holiday. Dining at the Hayward was a delight, with local specialties crafted to perfection—I still dream of the delicious pan-fried duck breast! Plus, the hotel's proximity to the stunning River Severn and its scenic walks provided the perfect backdrop for family explorations, ensuring our young daughter was thrilled by every moment spent outdoors. The Lion & Pheasant effortlessly combined luxurious comfort with sustainable practices, making our experience both enjoyable and aligned with my passion for preserving Australia's natural wonders.
